New development Lux Sant Jaume
Barcelona
Let us present the LuxHabitat’s flagship building, a royal estate considered to be an important part of the city’s historic center.
Its privileged location makes each of its homes a unique and incomparable choice. We are referring to the Pza St Jaume, seat of the Ayuntamiento and the Generalitat, the most important buildings of the Catalan government.
The whole building has been renovated, including the facade and the widely used interior with the installation of a new elevator. Its interior renovation has been carried out with respect for the architectural elements that give it special historical value.
The result is a combination of 32 homes, all of them exceptional, faithful representations of the values and virtues that LuxHabitat embodies:
Quality: due to the quality of the materials and the high standards of design.
Innovation: for its optimal layout and advances in technology and comfort.
Sustainability: for its heritage restoration and the use of renewable energy.
Trust: for representing the legacy of LuxHabitat in the city of Barcelona.
The building’s purpose.
LuxHabitat contributes to the quality of life for people, society, and the planet through its buildings. This is the purpose of Lux Sant Jaume.
We completely renovated the building as part of the city’s historic heritage, to preserve it and give it new use. We took great care in every detail with the goal of making it an asset of renewed value for Barcelona and its residents.
The property faces Plaza Sant Jaume as well as Plaza Sant Miquel, a feature that provides the homes with natural light and spacious views of the majestic surroundings.
In terms of livability and design, no detail was left to chance – hydraulic flooring, coffered ceilings, moldings and trim on walls and ceilings. The quality of the materials and the exclusive design make each of these homes into models of good taste.
Everything is done within the parameters of sustainability that will define the great cities of the future, using ecological construction materials and clean energy systems throughout the building, starting with solar panels.
Lux Sant Jaume is LuxHabitat’s ambassador for the future of construction.

It hosts the Palacio de la Generalitat and the Barcelona City Hall, two buildings with gothic and renaissance architecture. This has made it a point of historic and social interest where you will find exhibits, concerts, and festivities.
As you leave the plaza, you will find access to the cathedral, La Rambla, the Boqueria market, and el Born, four of the city’s most emblematic spaces.
The plaza’s surroundings are filled with interesting places and quaint narrow streets that snake through the city center. You will find characteristic craft workshops and stores, traditional farms, and enchanting restaurants.
